Dear Friends,
We are so excited to share with you a brand new innitiave of Chabad of Puerto Vallarta.
Together making the world, our world, Puerto Vallarta a better place.
As Jewish people, we hold two basic beliefs;
1. That we have been given the responsibility to care and be compassionate to every human being that may cross our path, and to help them in any way we can.
2. We also believe that God created a beautiful world that is his garden, And that we are his stewards to ensure that it is taken care of.
To that end, a group of volunteers have fromed a committee to come together to create this incredible new initiative.
TIKKUN OLAM
In Jewish teachings, TIKKUN OLAM means any activity that improves the world, bringing it closer to the harmonious state for which it was created.
Tikkun olam implies that while the world is innately good, its Creator purposely left room for us to improve upon His work.
All human activities are opportunities to fulfill this mission, and every human being can be involved in tikkun olam—
Our mission statement is to bring the Jewish community of Puerto Vallarta together through service and volunteering, with the goal of benefiting the local Puerto Vallarta community in a tangible way.
As Rabbi Hillel said: If I am not for me, who will be for me? And when I am only for myself, what am I?
We hope that you will consider volunteering and being part of this important initiative.
